The 53rd is History
CLOVER PARK HIGH SCHOOL
CLASS OF "49"
The 49ers 53rd reunion is a thing of the past. A grand time was had by all. Saturday, 6 stalwart classmates played 18 holes of golf at Madrona Links in Gig Harbor while non- golfers (most of us) enjoyed drinks and conversation. After that a "no host" dinner was enjoyed by all.
On Sunday we reconvened at the Oak Brook Country Club for a delicious champagne brunch and more conversation. Its was great renewing old friendships and catching up on the news.
Lots of good ideas were suggested for next years get together. Right now we are thinking of a one day only, informal get together for drinks and consersation (probably at Madrona Links) while the golfers break par. This would be followed by a "no host" dinner. There is plenty of time to get your ideas and suggestions in before plans are finalized some time in September.
As of this posting the
committee is planning to go all out for our 55th Bang Up Special Reunion.
We regret to inform you that Caroline Brewer passed away peacefully in her sleep with her family at her side at 10:30a.m. Friday July 26, 2002.
The Clover Park reunion committee would have been in poor shape without the organizational skills and dedication of Bob and Caroline. The current committee has had the advantage of using all the data they had gathered over the years. The material that Bob and Caroline assembled through the years, as well as the spirit with which they infused the reunions, is the bedrock on which subsequent reunions have and always will be based. They will each be thought of as members of this committee forever.
On behalf of all of us, Bob, we thank you and want you to know Caroline will truly be missed.
